Lose Fat - Outlined - Lose 30 Pounds Safely

By Scott Edwards

The Business Of Losing Weight Can Be Scary! It's important to understand that as well as being a concern for millions; dieting is very commercially profitable. The turnover of the weight loss industry is colossal - it amounts to billions of dollars - and so there are plenty of opportunities to profit from our ambitions to be slim.

In All Honesty, Is It Really That Bad? Maybe you're not classed as obese, but you're probably somewhat overweight if you're reading this. Around seven tenths of people in America can be classed as having weight problems. That's over two hundred million! What's more, it's not a great deal less elsewhere. Yet we don't wish to win this race...

It's been revealed that in Britain today, one quarter of all adults are a minimum of 33lbs too heavy (and are therefore classed as obese.) But look at this - Some predictions forecast this figure will rise to 90 percent in forty years time.

We really shouldn't allow this to happen. No-one wants this trend to continue. Proper eating programs are required reading; ignore all the hype from diet pill manufacturers.

Health problems increase in obese people. The following illustrate the extent of the problem: Cancer - Heart Disease - Heart Failure - Type Two Diabetes - High Blood Pressure - Liver Disease - High Cholesterol - Osteoarthritis. Obviously with the threat of all these health issues, reducing our weight is a major priority.

Losing the pounds doesn't have to mean getting STICK THIN! You just need to aim for the right weight for you. Everyone's different when it comes to weight, but we probably know the best level for ourselves.

We need to consider the health of our children too. Parents need to lead by example, and guide their kids towards healthy choices. Nothing will change if we keep doing the same thing. We can surely adopt better parenting skills than that?

All of this means we can't afford to carry on as we are. It's our duty to learn more about which foods are nutritionally sound. We have no chance of teaching our offspring how to eat well for good health if we don't know how to do it ourselves. But more than just the next generation - we could help to reverse the obesity trends we were discussing above if we start to get it right now. - 31875
