If you have a clear reservoir then you will also need black spray paint to paint it.

you will be using the Styrofoam as a floater to see how far down the water has gone to the bottom of the reservoir. Adding a line to the bottom of your reservoir with painters tape before you paint it can help you to easily see how far down the water is filled.
